Hi
I’ve been trying to find vids and shit about his motor I still don’t know what kind of motor or nothing about it only that it’s turboed 😂
Is there any chance that I can possibly get y’all to ask the your engine guy about that billet spring compressor. I’m curious who that is made by
Shit.... I thought that was Parker from gold Rush putting you engine together.
Nice work! Didn't know Parker Schnovell had an older brother?
Is that a 350 sbc?
TELL THE DIPSHIT RESTING THE SCREWDRIVER ON THE CRANK TO FUCK OFF. MORE THAN LIKELY MARKING IT. AND NO LUBE OB THE REARMAIN SEAL
"Don't Goose, the Goose, by the way, I've thought Chevy was a very small racing situation compared to greater GM. How small is that V8 compared to a japanese Camry?! Still very cheaper than a stolen F/18B witch never really crashed..."
Gotta have some Zeppelin
I like the main bearing idea,..😎✌
Spend the money and use bee hive valve springs way lighter and less harmonics faster reving motor
How much main and rod bearing clearance you running?
What size Motor?
Was he using hylomar on the head gaskets? Stuff is great
Never mind. Said it at the end 👍
Is that one of those Pro Comp blocks? Where can I order one of those spring compressors?
Your shop does some impressive work....When I started machinist training, my trainer tossed my crescent wrenches in the garbage and told me to buy the right size tools. That was 35 years ago. I did the same for every trainee I took on too.
what cc are your head chambers ??????
Great video love your work
weres molly
They no good music, motor will last forever put together with Zeppelin Tunes
Is there any chance that I can possibly get y’all to ask the your engine guy about that billet spring compressor. I’m curious who that is made by
What kind and where did you get the timing pointer and have you ever messed with the crank trigger thinking of going that route
No you do not have to knock all the rest of them out to knock a bearing backwards that you put in a tad too far that’s bullshit. This guys building your engine?!
Love seeing that shit done on that truck!!
You should have your block milled to accept copper o-rings
BILLY THE STRIGHT UP NO LUBE KINDA KIDD...U FU@K$N KILL ME BRO..🤘
He could build an engine for me any day of the week!👍👍
Awesome, You guys are very through. I learned to lube everything. LOL. Beautiful engine. Keep up the good work.
If you don’t know you need to line up oil feed holes you must put down the tools immediately.
Man those guys r serious business I like it
I remember you guys putting on races at KD and complaining about losing
Blazing saddles 2019
U should paint the block Chevy red orange
Man iv watch this video so many times lol
you need to o-ring it will hold more boost and hold up better
Love the Zep music in the engine shop.
Just curious is that a 6.0??
Just curious is that a 6.0??
Around 14:27 is that the turbo glowing red right before the engine popped????
That was different and pertty cool.. just can't wait for tbe s-10 been down to long .🤘
DO YOURSELF THE BIGGEST FAVOR YOU'LL EVER DO 4 YOURSELF!!!LSX💪💪💪💪💪💪
the head come off the bearing seating tool so you dont have to knock them all back out. take the head off run the rod through to the bearing put head back on
Your girl must really love lube
Did yoy come in like a recking ball ??? Lol
Cometic gaskets are the deal! Man I miss building engines.
I'd like to see you put that truck up against Leroy and cleetus McFarland and I know that doesn't cost as much as Leroy's engine does
U should have head studs with the kinda of horsepower u r making bro.
I do. We put them in after setting the heads on
You guys have some interesting reviews on Yelp
Sweet love watching the build. I have a few question on my 454
jezzel belt drive to degree cam quit doing that mickey mouse degree job jezel is the only way to get it spot on retard cam =top end advance = low end the trick is to have a vtec system that advances cam for low end then retards on top end
the secret is the line bore on the crank u get that perfect the crank will spin like it has roller bearings and degreeing the cam with a jezel belt drive to degree it in perfect and that motor will fly gas port the pistons to top ring land to make them seal up and suck down crankcase threw the merge collecter on exhaust ,,you can run it into catch can before it goes to merge collecter all closed so itt has no vacum leaks and merge collecter creates vacume via venturi princible, make sure clearences are spot on and balanced dont over carberate keep it like a 850 all the way up to 500 cid 6 or 7 hundred cid run 1150 the 850 works good alot of low end grunt dont run to low gearing nothing makes you more madd than some jackass comes flying by you right before you cross the traps run a winshield spray bottle full of vht and spray rear tires on the fly run a rear spoiler to load rear tires for traction
What rods and pistons did you go back with.
Why the Hylomar spray?!?!??!????😳😳😳
When I fist started building engines I use to get the machine shop to put the cam bearings in but now I have the proper tool I do it myself and he is right about getting the oiling holes in the bearing to line up with the oil hole to the oil galley or you be burning bearings up and your new cam would be toast I've seen it happen though where the bearing was welded to the cam journal it's not a fun job to remove the cam when that happens LOL!!
What's your reasoning for not going to an LS based engine? It's a cool thing you're still on the SBC, but just curious is all.
If he is like me i stick to bbc , i been LS'd to death.
Why no screw in studs on heads??you might lift the head
BMW is actually Bavarian not German.
You’re actually supposed to clock cam bearings that why it has a Oil gallery around the bearing
Kalvin Hawkins Bowtie Blocks don’t have a gallery around the bearing. I’m not sure if this is a bowtie block but I didn’t see a gallery either But when he said you can’t knock one backwards if you went to far that’s bullshit I’ve built thousands of engines and trust me if you know what you’re doing which is very simple you can bump one backwards.
what enigene is this
2:27 what’s wrong with my mans thumb.
What block are you using Billy?
Going 2 killem now!!!
Badass
When LS engineers design a big-block, and the LS aftermarket world become greater with the dress-up items and polished finishes it will be game over for the traditional style SBC and most BBC builders. I give it no later than 2025.
@Ada 1812 True talk. I still like the looks and the sound of the BBC and SBC, all I was saying is A Lot of guys are switching over to LS. LS has the weight of a small block and make bib block power, then imagine if LS made a big LS, say around 540 cubic-inch, with big cam, big valves, big ports and big stroke....
I thought the guy at the start of the video was Parker from gold rush...
i had and helped built a stroked 327 went all out on it we pulled it out of a 60's dragster then bell automotive built it the most he could for pump gas even polished the block and heads ported the oil drain made 204 out of the 202 heads ported them all out 13 quart oil pan one nuts out motor never lose with pump gas dyno at just over 1200 hp with no nitro straight pump gas but it could rev so fast that it would shear the end of steel crank right off every time it cost big bucks to fix they even had to port the cam bearing to get the cam in it the custom built cam was 1000 bucks just for the bare cam it was all blue printed and balance even the pistons and rods all weigh the same 1 tenths of a gram tolerance and i know about the heads do not over heat them they tend to crack right between the valves when u port them out
i went to a tech school for auto engines were GM or ford but GM was supply for most the training me my self my airforce job was either fuel cars or mob steers, you need a bomb tech? my uncle gave me a ww2 book there was a wild map if chicken scratch Luzon island i was in a mess since 1984 unknown illness blood clots & a mess my uncle had same thing i set down watched the general missing treasure hay your digging in wrong spots! hay i saw a map about 20 years ago ! maybe that why uncle gave me the book! i lost it my boss died of blood cancer yes blood clots his wife trashed every thing! including the book!
That's right young gun, now ur cocked an ready to rock, put it on um this year bra. O an get ur ol-lady betting on some races so u can get her car down to at least some 11-10.60'$, she deserves it, need to put a piston ring on that finger to
You have to see the fretting (microwelding) on the block (and cap) mating surfaces, something is either way overstressed here.....
Your engine builder looks like parker from gold rush show
Lmao !! He does for sure !!
That his twin brother..
I was thinking the same thing, before I even saw your comment.
no stainless sealing rings for those heads with all that boost?
How much boost and compression are you running on that thing? Also what tire do you run?
that bitch is beautiful. I wish I had a engine like that in my car.
building race engine, listening to zeppelin album! good times.
Wow good ole Parker Schnable!! 👍👍
Don't be that guy
Brrrmm brrmmm..hey..that's my fave background noise...😉
No LS here... kick ass
Got that Miley Cyrus motor for yo azz.
I came in like a wrecking baaaalllllll.
Loved the build besides when the crank sprocket was hammered on. There is a tool to press it on nice and easy to avoid ruining your crank end play and thrust bearing
Cant wait to see her back up and running 🤙 maybe ill catch you at a track this year n line em up
1 what did you use to groove the bottom of the block on the main bearings? What size drill bit did you use to drill the holes in the bearings? 2 Do you have a video of you using plastic gauge to check your clearances? What clearances do you prefer on your engine? New to this trying to learn. Thanks for your supoort
damn good clean engine building and Led Zeppelin what more do you need?? best video on IRvision right here
Where were you guy's 2 years ago....
Nice build!!!
The chick is fine
Who liked it?
Great job. The engine looks great. Did you sort out the boost control issue?
Parker from Gold Rush builds engines too ?
I was thinking the same thing, before I even saw your comment.
Glad to see someone else still making power with the old sbc!
Hey! Who's blond. I think she's hot
I think BMW is actually British
Keith Harris are you a millennial the b stands for Bavarian motor Works
Damn I am use to stock blocks they are channeled and they are installed @ 8 O clock. But I did not see any channels in your aftermarket block.
Good detail💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿...got any motors for sale???
Their is a recessed area in the cam bearing bore so lube will get to the oil hole reguardless unless it's been modified BBC and sbc
Cj Pfeiffer yeah You’re actually supposed to clock them It has to do with oil pressure and getting oil to the cam. But hey what do I know
When you take your new cam bearing tool out of the box you will have black and brown bands. The brown bands ARE NOT REOKACEMENTS!! they are for different size bearings. That's why I have a full set of minus 1-5 bearings for an ls2 laying around lol. Trashed 1st one I put in. Next set went slick as butter with instructions. Yes I put all bearings in a 6.0L even though you aren't supposed to lol
You coming to Milan
What kind of power did you make out of this. We make over 700 with our SBC . And is that a Callie’s compstar crank or did you big ball it and get the magnum for 2 grand?
epic begining lmao
seen u on Limpy's 1st Video. He said you didn't the go ahead to race though. 🤔
I raced the next day
Nice build brother!!! Mouth was watering the entire vid haha. 1 thing though, I was told to install my cam bearings dry in the bores to reduce the chance of the bearing spinning in the bore and moving the feed hole, is this not true? It's a legit question lol I really wanna know cause I'm still a novice on the subject
James J. McCloud yeah you’re supposed to clock the cam bearings
What cam cam and rocker arms?
I am jealous of the relationship you have with your Dad. You guys are lucky to share the same passion.
